Hi Harold,

Your last comment re updating the DNS servers is interesting...

>I have been playing with a perl script to extract the current IP address,
>see if it has changed and update a DNS. If you guys want todevelop
>something like this and let us update one of your DNS servers
>dynamically, that would be good as well

...I have been actively exploring the IETF proposals regarding Dynamic DNS (DDNS). You can see the discussions on this at...

there is a video section with some juggling and unicycle stuff from around Wellington including a juggling show at Ngaio school.

and Kim Potter is a Wellington based singer songwriter. There are 3 tracks
from his CD "Storyboard"

Not a good long term solution because it only works for clients we run it
doesn't help for services we may offer the outside world. Having said that I
only run the IRC server when the kids want to chat with their mates so I
would probably use your VB app.... one more pinhole is good

I have been playing with a perl script to extract the current IP address, see
if it has changed and update a DNS. If you guys want to develop something
like this and let us update one of your DNS servers dynamically, that would
be good as well ;)

     cheers Harold
