Sorry I'm having a bad day..... things I wouldn't have thought twice about
looking up on the net I don't do anymore.... I was playing a lot of Quake
no more... I've tried the single player but its not the same. Theres a new
version of the web server I use been released... I used to upgrade straight
away... not anymore. When you do look something up its free this and free
that but not really cause its 35c a mb. I'm interested in robotics and
recently found a site with a bunch of videos of robot wars and competitions
but I can't afford to watch them... grrrr

I guess all you can eat access to the net had become a part of my
lifestyle and now I'm suffering withdrawl and finding it painfull to contempate
going back to a cheaper modem based all you can eat service. While I
appreciate the speed I am not getting the same eperience for my money.
Also a big part of my attraction to ADSL in the first place was the 24hr
always on thing and being able to run my owns services and experiment
with the technology. Having my machine as a peer on the internet
appealed... but there is nolonger the hope that we can have static IPs.
My father thinks the internet is just another TV channel and some days it
seems I have lost the chance to prove him wrong

sorry I'm ranting which was what I was trying not to do.... :)
