But the time it takes for the IP in Internic to be updated can be over 24 hours.
That's a long time to be off the air.

Well having xtra run the name server will incur a cost to me. And I prefer
to run my own name server. It's part of the learning process. The number of
actual queries is quite low.
I see no reason why the reverse lookups cannot be done by my server. It's merely
delegation. ISPs do that all the time. And for me, that's a selling point
(reverse name delegation).
