Is that a question?

It was a question asking if my assumption/belief that ADSL in the states
is all flat rate, was correct.....:)

I believe the prices are quite reasonable in the states because of
consumer resistance to the initial high prices (again assumption am i
correct?) causing a very low uptake in the technology, and cable being
more advanced than here means more choice available.

Well, whereever they have installed. Which it pretty wide in the
Wellington
area. They've been in Ngaio at least two years. Maybe three. Can't
recall.

Depends on the street they only came live in my spot 6 months or so ago.

I understand that clear do not have any connections to private homes.
They
use Telecom's copper from the exchange to your house. I think they do
run lines
to some businesses.

I have been doing Y2K assesements for a number of businesses and
building owners in the CSB all of which have had a clear box in the
building this may not be copper IN of course. Therefore the commercial
adsl service by telecom may actually have the potential for some
competition for business users. I find it hard to believe that Clear will not
respond to the commercial release of ADSL.
