I intend to bring this subject up next week with the market research people.

I have a suggestion that might just be acceptable to the big "T".

If Telecom are prepared to update thier DNS server with the new IP address
assigned to an ADSL customer when it changes (at Authentication) and give
the ADSL customer a host name that will always resolve to the correct IP
address. ie.

SteenekenM@xtra.co.nz or SteenekenM@adsl.xtra.co.nz

This is how it is done in the NT world its called WINs and the DHCP server
updates the WINs and DNS server when a new IP has been assigned.

Would this be acceptable to you lot?

Cheers
