Why wont linux/unix tunneling do this, why pay for it?

As you know I have a strong desire for a static IP and would love to help
you out but as I am probably unable to afford one its probably a waste of
time.
I guess it has occurred to your marketing "people" that for other people
(well me anyway) the need for a static IP is determined by *what* they
wish to do not how much traffic or "business" their endeavours may
generate.

Likewise, my static volume is probably 10 to 30 meg a month, very small
volumes. It looks like it will be priced way OTT for us home users......ever
get the feeling we are being *censored* ? Personally i get the distinct
feeling we are being offered what telecom wants to offer us not what we
want......id better stop now the signal to noise is rising.......
