This sounds very much like the DCC problems when using IRC behind a firewall.
 In the DCC case, the problem is not the firewall, it's the IRC protocol itself.
 The protocol assumes the computer you are talking to is the on with the IP
it sees. This is not the case with firewalls. The IP you see is that of the
firewall. The actual computer is behind the firewall.

My guess, and I stress guess, is the problem may be the protocol and not the
modem (which is a firewall).

Wow! More conspiracy theories. But honestly, do you think something like Telecom
would be that far thinking? <grin>

Seriously, until I know more about the protocols concerned, I really can't comment
on why it doesn't work. We must not be the only group having this problem.

Has anyone checked the FAQ for these products? It must be a common issue.
