I've had a similar experience, even (apparently) opening up all the correct ports it still didn't work properly.

Perhaps Mark could try this sometime and see if he can get it to work correctly.

The modem doesn't have all the firewall simulation... which is why it works, slowly....

Last I heard, NetMeeting uses some really funky transport mechanisms to
get all that data (voice, text, shared apps) from A to B.

Because of the way Telecom have implemented ADSL (in particular the M10)
I think you'll be pushing smelly stuff up hill to get it work. In fact,
I'm rather surprised you got as much out of it as you did.
