The modification is to leave out the ip_addr stuff, the service will then use
the IP address you "appear" to have come from, ie, the NAT'ed external ADSL
interface public IP.

lynx -dump -auth=user_id:password http://www.yi.org/bin/dyndns.fcgi

is sufficient.
