Hi
So far I know of 5 Modems
all have firmware 2.2
1 has software version 5.0.1 Build R0
2 have Software version 5.1.0 Build R0
2 have Software Version 5.1.3 Build R2
Version 5.0.1 does not seem to be password restricted and
the extended variety of settings can be modified. It may be
possible to upgrade it to 5.1.0 from nokia's web site
I think my original M10 was 5.0.1 but it got swapped for another one
which I am pretty certain was 5.1.0 which in turn was upgraded to
5.1.3 over the control vcc2 circuit. I just can't find anything
I've written on the subject. (I've just found a dead.letter that mentions
16th June and version 5.1.0 so I must have had that around then)
The 5.0.1 also could not do a range of IPs if I recall and was upgraded
specifically with that in mind.
Nokias site is
http://nte.partners.nokia.com/products/broad/adsl/m10/stuff/stuffm10.html
Be aware that this is dated 20 March and may very well be out of date.
The networks guys may also get really upset about it as well and it
may not be appropriate for local conditions. You will also need a tftp
server on your machine. and probably a password free version of the
M10
If anyone else wants to send me the output of status I'll add it to the
list.
