Hi ppls

If your interested (well you have got it anyway)

:)

I dumped ADSL due to costs a few months back and went to
Saturn/Paradise
cable. Boy am I glad I did.

Here are my charges over the last few months on cable .......:)

ADSL charge a flat rate of 35 cents a meg over 600meg, cable charge
3.5
cents national, 35 cents international over 500 meg equivalent all er
month.

national int equivalent charge

55 164 170 nov-dec
37 89 93 dec-jan
1328 353 486 jan-feb (500 equiv limit)
13 10 23 feb-current

Find the usage interesting? I was away most of the time until jan-feb
now my use if i had had adsl would have been 1328+353=1681M for that
month, ie one gig above the 600 meg adsl limit so i would have had a fat
bill..instead I had nothing....now thats saving me heaps......adsl
begins to look very expensive when you look at their volume charge
against usage patterns.

a reply from Andrew Dunford:

Agreed, but depends on your usage. There may be plenty of people out
there
staying under 600Mb who are perfectly happy with the JetStream
pricing. My
reason for going Saturn is slightly different: I use more than either
company's minimum volume (about 1Gb in total), but wanted to find a
package
at the right price where I could avoid penalty charges where poss.
JetStream's jump is from 600Mb to 1500Mb and adds $130, while
Saturn's is
from 512Mb to 1024Mb and costs only $30, thus it works for me.
However if I
was doing 1.5Gb (my traffic is mostly international), JetStream would
probably work out cheaper.
