But of course a transparent proxy (or even a good old fashioned packet
snooper) could snarf all that header stuff as it flew past on its way to
*any* site. by the same token, it's not terribly difficult to create a
simple proxy that does nothing but remove extraneous headers. I think
Squid even does some of this for you if you ask it nicely.

I suspect though that they'll just put "one machine only" in their Ts & Cs
and pillory the first mug they catch breaking the rules...
