I have achieved this using the Host Headers feature in HTTP 1.1. Each site is differentiated using it's name, so you need multiple DNS host entries all pointing to your single (presumably) static IP.

You also need to use an HTTP 1.1 aware browser which then embeds the site name in the initial request which arrives at your site, which then, based on said header, delivers the appropriate page - presuming your server's configured correctly!

I'm using IIS on NT, and I'm fairly sure Apache would also support this feature.

Subject: Hosting more than 1 web site on adsl

  Hi,

I am trying to host about two or three web sites on my adsl connection.
I have a domain name that resolves to my web server on the adsl connection.
I have done the configuration correctly for it to work, but unfortunately
it does not seem to work. It just appears with my main web site.

I was accessing this via a dial-up connection.

I have a Windows NT server
with Apache 1.3.9 as my web server software.

Is there a way to get this working properly.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Chris Foster
