When a M10 is reset it should say something like
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: Using saved configuration options
00:00:00:00 L4 GDB: PowerPC gdbnub debugger is not installed
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: Nokia M10 multiport ADSL router / bridge
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: Nokia software version 5.3.0 (build R2)
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: Telecom Fast Access (M10, rev 1)
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: last install status: code flash successfully programmed
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: memory sizes - 1856K Flash, 4096K RAM
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: free memory: 2788846 bytes, starting at 0x153202
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: restart in response to admin command
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: bootFlags: 0x0, running in RAM
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: boot source undeterminable, probably due to restart
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: Boot PROM does not support multi-virtual flash
00:00:00:00 L4 BR: starting kernel
If the power is dropped it would say the same. From the little bit of the log that you enclosed it looks like the PPP was dropped rather than a Modem reset.
When is says phy is isn't talking about the physical line.
Cheers
Wayne

Doesn't the log get cleared when the modem is reset?
