Ok I just received the following letter from Telecom:

On Tuesday, 03-Oct-2000 we are upgrading the Jetstream Network at your local
exchange. This will enable us to develop a range of more advanced services
to better meet your needs. Oncve the upgrade is complete, you'll have the
choice of remaining with your new MW1122 or purchasing from a range of
approved Jetstream modems.

The upgrade of the Jetstream equipment at your exchange will require a
replacement of your existing Jetstream modem with the new MW1122 or internal
Efficient 3060 modem.

They then go on to organise for the new modem to be couriered out to me, and
if I need a technician to help install it. If I do not need the help of a
technician then they will credit my Telecom account by $30.

I also have the user guide for the MW1122 if anyone wants a copy? It has a
picture of the new modem, which actually looks pretty cool. It also
explains how the Wireless LAN will work.
