We've had problems here since 5am and are still experiencing
some strange behaviour. We couldn't get anything until about
11am and then everything was fine. Then between 1:30 and 2:30
everything failed again. After 2:30 we were able to POP our
mailbox and our browsers were able to resolve IP numbers but no
data is being displayed still.

Apparently the South Island was cut off when Telecom changed a
piece of equipment in Wellington although I didn't hear that from the
help desk because I couldn't get through. (Maybe other people
were also having problems?!?) ;-)

I would also like to hear what Telecon have to say and would like
better notification of issues such as keeping the ISP's informed so
they can pass on the info when people ring them.
