Well right now we have VoIP phones on Chello connections and there is a
Cisco 12SP+ phone sitting on the coffee table next to me going just fine
over the 1.6Mbps I get over my ADSL.

We also have phones on wireless (802.11b DSSS) and they're cool too.

The general rule is keep pings below 200-250ms.

DDS, ADSL, Cable, wireless - whatever - good ol TCP and low latency is all
that is required. Definitely DO NOT believe what you are told about QoS
issues. Bandwidth is not hard and it solves all problems. We have been
running the Cisco/Selsius phones for 2 1/2 years now and apart from
delivery/feature issues, they're fine.
