Full rate ADSL hasn't even been ratified as an international standard yet.
And telecoms ADSL is RADSL which is a non-standard form of ADSL.

Well my 'personal' feelings are...

Due to the lack of reliability (and yes i understand that telecom are trying
to fix these issues) of ADSL being effectively as good as a BETA product..
Consumers should be being charged a BETA rate.

How can Telecom expect the public to pay Top dollar when the service isnt
Top rate?

%> I just received the latest issue of Consumer Magazine. They want

%> broadband services. I will certainly be writing to tell them that in the
%> case of Jetstream, there are too many outages and it's over-priced simply
%> because where I live, Telecom doesn't have Saturn to keep them

%> their broadband was one hell of a lot more reliable than this. I can only
%> recall 3 outages in a year of using Saturn cable with Paradise.

%> After yet another outage, I feel I must say my piece.

%> I work in Christchurch for a company based in Belgium, looking

%> Yes I know that the ADSL service is "best effort" and not guaranteed.
%> However I need about 256k of bandwidth, 24 hrs and he tells me that if he
