Steve
Another Suggestion,
This is a setup that I have used in the past
It involves creating a VPN
You could setup up your router and server for a VPN connection, once a
connection is made and your host pcanywhere is set for a network connection
you should be able to connect to the server and logon to the network,
browsing with PCAnyWhere remote version should find the PCAnyWhere host
connection waiting on the customer network,

Steve,
You are able to do this through a web interface which will allow you to
set the pinholes required. Connect to the modem by pointing your browser
to 192.168.1.254 with no username and Telecom as the password.
>From there I think you go to the router link, then NAT setup. You'll
need two pinhole entries. External start port for the first one would be
5631 and 5631 for the end port. I would guess the protocol would be tcp.
Internal ip address you've got and the internal port would be 5631.
Repeat for the other port.
Make sure you restart the router after you add the two pinholes.

Hi.
I am involved in systems support for a number of sites and most are
getting
onto the ADSL stream for their internet connections One in particular
has
asked me to sort out an issues and so I am joining this group to
assist me
in obtaining the answers or assistance.
My first question (sorry) is:
My client wishes to use Symantec PCAnywhere (v9.21) via Internet to
provide
support.
The trouble is we are not sure how to activate a pinhole through a
Nokia M10
modem to do this.
And then how do we connect from an outside user to the Host PCAnywhere
device on the LAN inside the M10 Router environment?
I understand that the ports that PCAnywhere uses is 5631 & 5632
I know the internal IP address of the LAN workstation that will host
PCAnywhere.
In the PCAnywhere remote software we can point to a TCP/IP address so
theoretically should be able to go straight to the M10 and in to the
device
once it is set up OK.
Can anyone assist me?
