I used to have the same problem but it was to do with one of my Uniden
cordless phones. Problems went away after I use a different cordless phone.

Straight from the X-files stuff here -

I have the same problem (pick up phone, DSL link goes down, you can hear it
on the phone too). Initially thought it's just a faulty splitter, got that
replaced, no good.

Thought it's faulty wiring, so the guys put in a new piece of cable straight
from the point of entry to the jack point. Phone still interferes with the
DSL link. Used a different phone, no good, replaced the modem (yes all green
sticker), the same, replaced the port at the exchange, no good.

Line test is clean - they are going to manually check the lines today and
redo the coding on our telephone number (whatever that means), and if that
still doesn't turn up anything they might have to fail the install! :(

Pointers? (St Heliers, Akl exchange FYI)

You will probably find that the splitter used on your phone line to seperate
the DSL signal from the POTS signal is faulty. I'd advise ringing Jetstream
and asking for a new one to be installed.

Here's a snippet from the log on my M1122. The link seems to go down
whenever we receive or make a phone call. Is there something that we can
do to prevent this, as it is extremely annoying?
