Jetstream Usage

I've been running a 3com Dual link (USB/RJ45) self installed ADSL modem for
three weeks now, and it works very well, except for the drama involved in
getting it working initially. My only problem is the ease of exceeding the
600MB cap. My usage meter has remained firmly at zero since the day I
installed my modem. I made a couple of calls to XTRA/Jetstream in the first
week about this, and they were unable to resolve this problem and never got
back to me, so I'm wondering whether I'm going to get a rude shock one day.
I'm reluctant to rattle their cages again, for fear that they'll wake up.
Can anyone tell me whether it's normal practise to receive an automated
email when usage exceeds 600MB for the current month?
Has anyone else had this problem and how was it handled?
