When you switch off DHCP on the Nokia you also turn off some settings which
are set with it with it.

Namely DNS and also the Default Gateway address

You need to get DHCP on the Windows 2000 server to now set these values or
set then individually on each workstation.

Also if you have set the Nokia to 192.168.1.1 what addresses is the Windows
2000 DHCP server handing out. If they aren't in the same subnet then you
won't be able to see the Nokia (i.e. they need to be 192.168.1.xxx)

The local network port setting on this device is set at 192,168.1.1 With
DHCP enabled there is no problem accessing the modem to its command
interface or access to the ISP. It is necessay to turn of the DHCP as this
function is being carried out by a Windows 2000 server with the Active
directory functions enabled. Problem is I can no longer access the Modem.
Pinging it at the above address is unreachable. No mention in the manual
about what you have to do for the modem to remain visable after DHCP is
turned off.

  Any clues gratefully recieved.
