Can anyone at Telecom on the list confirm the part about the full speed
access to the games realm?

(Are games realm DSL connections allocated specific IP's? Is this how
the creation of VPN's between 2 or more computers using the games realm
is prevented?)

If this is so, is it an unreasonable guess that your ADSL connection (ie.
full rate vs JetStart) is dependent on your PAP details? If so, how is
Telecom going to monitor the use of username and password details in
cases of JetStart users who can then get fullrate by using their mate's
(non-static IP) fullrate login and password? From what I've been told,
JetStream usage is measured by the amount of data that crosses the
port on the exchange used by the connection, and the PAP details are only
needed for verification before the useable connection is established. So
theoretically, one could sign up for JetStart, pay the required flat rate
fees, get the 3rd party DSL router as required by Telecom for JetStart(thus
leaving Telecom with no external admin-level access for upgrading firmware
etc) and then use a fullrate login and password to get the full 8Mbit at
the flat rate price, and Telecom would never know ....

What security measures does Telecom have in place to ensure that we aren't
missing out on fullrate access at JetStart pricing because we're a little
more honest than the average script kiddie? I know I'd prefer 8Mbit to 128
Kbit, but I'd also hate to think that I am paying a whole lot of money that
I needn't be paying if I was a little less honest with Telecom ....

(Sorry about all the questions, last one I promise:) Does JetStart use
different hardware/software on the exchange (or ISP) end? If so, will
there be more issues with exchanges being upgraded one at a time to support
the new hardware/software/etc? :)
