This is the thought I had. I had always thought the whole point of
Telepermitting a device was to ensure that it was compatible with the
Telecom network and would not cause problems for other users. I would
have assumed that would include disabling any settings that were not
relevant or could cause 'interfernce'. So if the ADSL police are going
to come and get you anyway why bother getting the device Telepermitted?
Sort of like buying a new car and being told that you shouldn't adjust
the clock as it will void your warranty :-)
