You'd be amazed what people will spend money on. ;-)

Bear in mind though, that in the US apparently bridged DSL connections are
apparently more common than the configuration we have here. (Saturn, Walker
wireless, Radionet and others use bridging here though.)

So far routed public downstream addresses have not been available via DSL.

I always thought it was because they couldn't.

Maybe it's just that they won't.
