Ok, as of today my home connection has changed to Jetstart.
The M11 modem I have still reports that my ADSL connection speeds are 8Mb &
800k (approx), but any file transfer I do max's out at around 16.5k/sec.
My ping times seem exactly the same as they were, even when I am downloading
at 16k/sec.
I haven't tried to change to jetstream games context yet, will do it when I
get home.

My ISP is World-Net, they charge me $30/month along with telecom's
$29.95/month.

Now that we know the 3com dual-link works as local interface in linux I will
probably be buying one of these.
