But i'd guess this is merly what is best tested and supported rather than the only thing it actually works on. For starters it definatly works on linux 2.4.
And this comparison page http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pppoe/enternet-comparison.html lists Linux, NetBSD, Solaris, and Mac OS X Beta as the OSes it runs on.
I'd suggest downloading the software and compiling it and then try running it. If you can get it to the point that it starts sending out PPPoE discovery packets then there's a good chance it will work. Having recieved a reply to the discovery packets there is still a chance it might fail setting up a ppp session though, but if the required version of pppd works on FreeBSD that should be unlikely.
