Well the information on the Dual Link from Linux
by PPPoE sounds very interesting.

Has anyone tried it from FreeBSD yet?

I've been doing a bit of reading, and checking out the possible
configuration(s) needed.

FreeBSD 4.0+
Looks like a hack of the netgraph headers ( to fix the 3Com frame
types/mistypes)
then compile kernel with "options NETGRAPH"
interseting instructions here http://renaud.waldura.com/doc/freebsd-pppoe/
then looks like a later version of user PPP 2.3 with the set tcpmssfixup
option

I've gotten to see the correct(3Com) discovery frame type go past on a
tcpdump on the ethernet interface....now just need to wait for my ADSL line
to be installed.

But the theory sounds right....but then that dosen't mean much often!
Anyone actually tried any of this, have any comments?

Since we would be using a smaller mtu / mru to fit things in, would you
expect any reductions in speed?
Anyone with it running on Linux have any stats?
