well - it's 4am - but I have it going ;-)

Slightly tricky - considering I only had a Winblows 2000 box and a linux
box to work with (the drivers for the 3com *don't* like win2k) but managed
to do it. You can crash enough through the setup under winblows to get the
modem configured to work under linux :)

Definitely hitting the micro-outage issue, using an lcp echo to get around
it - the link hasn't dropped in over 2 hours since changing it. Probably
not good for traffic thou (comments?)

Also - would anyone be interested if I put together a 3COM-Linux-HOWTO to
possibly be hosted on the Doco site? - if interest is great enough - I'll
get something together.

Lovely... It's so nice to finally have a real ip actually on my server and
not at a router with dodgy pinholing. Masq under linux works much nicer
:-)
