Well isn't that just great. Unfortunately it requires that you be aware
that Telecom are charging you in a brain dead manner. Did you know Telecom
charge for ADSL in this way? It's not obvious, and if anyone had asked me
before today "do Telecom charge their data charges to the user, or to the
building?" I would never have said "Of course, they charge the building".
It may make sense for phone lines, where you can't tell who the user is, but
not for *authenticated* traffic charges.
It's like someone putting their simcard in your cancerphone and then you
getting charged for the call. Telecom are simply ignoring the 'simcard',
your login details.
Perhaps there's a really really good technical reason the billing must be
this retarded though? Anyone know? Or is it just another case of "this is
the way we've always done it"?
