I mean this in the nicest possibly way.

If Telecom don't know why their billing and traffic systems are doing
what they are doing, how are we ever meant to understand what is going
on, or what we are meant to be doing or not doing?

It would be interesting if you could find out why it was capped.

Tyler

It is often hard to account for all things in life - may be this is one
of them. It is possible that the ISP pushed back the limit attribute!

In short though your port (line) determines the plan not the login.

If the data throttling is done per port (phone number) as pulled from
this magic database, why did this gentleman find his connection capped
when he used his JetStart login if it makes no difference what login
you
use?

Enquiring minds want to know

Guys

Jetstream/Jetstart are not charged via login. Infact, the logins are
treated identically by ISPs. When you order jetstart, your phone
number
is added to a database that is updated daily at about 4am. When you
login to any realm apart from the free realm (jetstreamgames.co.nz)
then
your port number (ala phone number) is checked against the list on
that
database. If it's there, then your connection is throttled
accordingly.
This makes no difference if you use a jetstream login, jetstart login,
xtra or webinternet login. They are all the same. If you notice your
connection going uncapped, it's because the ISP has screwed up.

By using more than one login and trying to dodge charges under
Jetstream, you'll just find yourself with a fat bill at the end of the
month. Like I said above, data and billing plans are sorted by port
number (ph number) and not ISP account.

Questions?
