This must be incorrect , because when I logged onto my Modem using the
Jetstart account, I was throttled to 128K..
We did quite a bit of testing on this..
I am 1000000000 % certain that I was throttled..
Therefore your statement that says the throttling is done by phone number
must be incorrect

treated identically by ISPs. When you order jetstart, your phone number is
added to a database that is updated daily at about 4am. When you login to
any realm apart from the free realm (jetstreamgames.co.nz) then your port
number (ala phone number) is checked against the list on that database. If
it's there, then your connection is throttled accordingly. This makes no
difference if you use a jetstream login, jetstart login, xtra or webinternet
login. They are all the same. If you notice your connection going uncapped,
it's because the ISP has screwed up.

you'll just find yourself with a fat bill at the end of the month. Like I
said above, data and billing plans are sorted by port number (ph number) and
not ISP account.
