No the port isn't the only thing. Here is how it goes
- log on as Joe@ISP
- forward details (including port) for radius authentication (to ISP)
- radius authentication back OK
- check user realm
- check port in database
- pass attributes to limiting system

- log in as user@jetstreamgames.co.nz
- forward details (including port) for radius authentication (remember
Telecom does this authentication or lets anyone on DSL through)
- radius authentication back OK
- check user realm - IF = jetstreamgames.co.nz then don't check
database
- pass normal info to system (ie don't limit)

Hows that for an explanation (it is abridged but you should get the
idea)?

Jetstream customer on Jetstart line = Jetstart rate.
Jetstart customer on Jetstream line = Jetstream rate
is still the way it should be, anything else should be treated as a
fault!

Cheers

Then why is it that one on my jetstart port, with a jetstream games
user login i get full speed?

Obviously port is not the only thing taken into account, the user login
is also a factor.

This is not what the user in the original post reported,
jetstart customer on jetstream line = jetstart rate.
