I don't know how relivant this is, but if I connect on the phone line with
my normal dialup v.90 it connects at slower than normal speeds as stated
everywhere in telecoms pages. BUT my M1122 DSL modem on the same line also
has an apparent micro outage, and looking at the DSL Status line the connect
speeds are suddenly lower. The DSL light also flashes red for a few seconds.

In my mind there is no doubt my modem is affected by noise, even if it is
injected straight onto the same copper it is trying to use. Don't see why a
strong enough spike external at the wrong frequency couldn't do the same
thing!
