Hi 'Other' Rob

Well this is getting a little academic now.

Firstly, let me say that Wayne Kampjes has already stated that what is
happening to me is a fault, and that it shouldnt be able to happen. ( IE
this is not normal). I cannot test this, but I will take him at his word.

All I do know is this is most definatly happening for me. It is the same for
FTP.. If I use CuteFTP the same limit is impossed. If I start mulitple FTP
downloads, the max of all DL's is 16k.. Its throttled, but it shoudnt be.

I still believe Telecom or the ISP's or someone need to explain to the users
that there account is ONLY for thier ADSL modem. The agreement between you
and the ISP says nothing on this, Telecom says nothing about this. I cant
see how thay can now charge when

A) The agreement with who logged onto the modem, was between the user and
their ISP. ( IE , NOT Telecom)
B) The Agreement was for unlimited Bandwidth, it never states from what
location
C) XTRA state that you can logon to mulitple locations but more than 1
connection will incurr a charge of 50c per Meg. ( For a Jetstart account,
and the jetstart account is an Xtra account and only 1 location was ever
used)

To me its a bit like renting a 2 story house.. and half way into the year
the landlord says.. "Hey your using the top floor, well Im gonna charge you
3 times the price and backdate it"... But hang on, you didnt say I wasnt
allowed to use the secound floor .. " We never stated you could use the top
floor, you only assumed it"... But every house I have rented in the past
always allowed both floors... " Ahhh, those were older houses ( Modems!) new
houses are diferent.. its Always been this way with new houses.. just ask
real estate brokers, they will tell you ( The techos on this forum)

Sigh.. big bill coming...
