for jetstart the ISP gets whatever is left after telecom take their cut for
transporting your data across their ATM network, I think (off the top of my
head) thats about $30 and the ISP gets whatever they wish to charge on top
($19.95 ? i think thats the usual price)

Because I'm not directly paying for my connection I am a little hazy on the
pricing, the "per meg" cost may be in the $0.30 cent range over your
allocated limits - cant recall.. and just verified the $0.08 per meg rebate
- its actually a little high, it works out to around 8% of what telecom
charge the customer that goes back to the ISP

Basicly, the only viable way now to run a DSL type service is to bypass
your own internal links and use the "Direct" option for both which goes out
over netgate directly - however this means that the ISP cant really
diagnose a lot of the faults people have and means a reduction in service
for the end user.. for telecom, a win/win situation, for everyone else its
a loss..
