Just to add some further confusion to the matter, I was (am) having some DNS
problems with World-Net so I forced a DSL-subsystem restart on my M1122. It
didn't help, but it didn't kill my ssh session to a server in California
either. So then I unplugged the Jetstream cable for about 15 seconds. I
plugged it back in and reloaded the main status page while the DSL and then
PPP connections came back up. Here's where is gets interesting: Once
everything came back I had the same IP *and* my ssh session was still up.
