sure having kickass hardware is the way to go - kickass = stable, completely
configurable, easy to setup etc.
linux is the next best thing - getting the public ip on a linux box gives
you the control, security, performance and flexibility one needs - always
some administraion to begin with - but hey thats all part of the fun.
things are only going to get better with the new kernal 2.4x, built in atm
support, pci - usb adsl cards and iptables being boxed with up and coming
linux distribuions and lrp.
