I'm using 2.4 kernels at the moment (have for a while). Linux being open
sourced is the thing for the Future.. If you don't like something, then you can
, if you have a little knowledge, change it.
The only trouble is no one is releasing open source information about their DSL
hardware, and I don' t think anyone will for a long while (or even will). The
usb alcatel stuff is binary only. Itex (Dynalink internal DSL cards) won't
release information on their DSL hardware (i've asked) etc etc etc. Alot of
companies won't release enough information about their hardware as they are
scared of releasing their secrets.. :-(
