Interesting you should say that - Clear's tempest pricing seems uncannily
similar to British Telecom's in the UK. I wonder if Clear will pursue the
same draconian scheme whereby customers are forced to rent their
modem/routers with threats of legal action and disconnection if the customer
should so much as lay a finger on it... A UK newsgroup I subscribe to seems
to have users quaking in their boots over disconnecting their rented USB
modem and substituting one with a router... Sounds almost like the old Post
Office days when you could be publically flogged for using a phone other than
the standard supplied one... BT is watching you...

Clear are going to need to pull their socks up a bit in the customer service
dept first... exert from another mail-list I posted to...
