Thanks to all those people who replied to my post. I had BlackIce Defender
installed, but with my speakers turned off I didn't hear it beep at me when
the Setup Wizard tried to talk to the modem.

The problems don't stop there though. The setup of the 3Com Duallink is
supposedly so simple that there are no instructions on how to set it up to
log on to the ISP.

Should I set my modem up as PPPoA or PPPoE? I have tried both. When I set
it to PPPoE I get a steady green ADSL light, but there is nowhere to put in
a user id and password. When I set it to PPPoA, the ADSL light blinks
orange. I can put in a user id and password, but it won't connect.

Does anyone have any instructions that detail how to set up the 3Com
Duallink modem on the Telecom network?
