Just use PPTP (instead of PPTP-GRE on the M11's) :-)

  PPTP1 TCP 1723 1723 192.168.1.1 1723
  PPTP2 PPTP 1 65535 192.168.1.1 1

 Its in my pinholing (very basic) FAQ now..
