Cut the guy some slack Brian. He works for DSE - Big Deal. He doesnt work in
sales. Hes not commission based. But he does get information promptly. :)
(Hey Greg! :) )

Using the word "Modem" just makes life easy for DSE's customers who dont
want to get confused between routers and modems -- people associate 'modem'
with 'device used to connect to the internet' and will percieve router to
mean something way over their heads.

Having said all that, I searched for Ni500 on the DSE site and this is what
came up:

Nokia External ADSL Modem - UTP
The Ni500 is an external Ethernet full rate ADSL modem designed for easy
installation and faster speeds. The Ni500 is designed for use with the
breakthrough dsl-ON software.

Cat XH1111

I dont see any literal problems with that?

Mark.
(Ex DSE employee who used to regularly get an earful of customers who dont
quite know what theyre talking about :) )
