Can an ignorant 'newbie' ask a stupid question here:

The DSE site for the Ni500 say that you need Windows. Is this a slipup on
their part (they mention it on pretty much everything), or is this some sort
of Win(ADSL)Modem?

The answer that im really looking for, is can it be used under Linux?

Failing that, whats the cheapest external ADSL modem arround?
