Subject: How to save on your DSL Install...
Just saw on the DSE site they are selling the Splitters for $20 (coming
soon) . It just looks like it is a BT plug/socket with the filter
inbetween that you put into a phone sockets except the one you have the
DSL Modem plugged in.
If I am right, if you use one of these you only will pay Telecom $99
incl GST instead of the Normal $178? if a person buys uses one. Does
this sound right?
I know telecom does alot more work for the extra $80 as they will
install an extra jack etc as well, and for a house, a user may need to
buy 2 or more of them .
As on the website it says..
"if you are at a premise where JetStream has been previously installed
but is no longer in use (and a contractor does not have to re-visit the
premises to re-route wiring or connect your own modem), then will only
pay $99 (inc GST) to have JetStream connected."
Thanks
