Well I'm glad you did. You've stirred up some more questions for me to
worry about.

I just wish the answer was clearer. It would seem that the possibility
of having fixed IP address on Jetstart depends on who you ask, not just
because experiences and opinions may vary, but ISP policy may have an
influence as well.

It also seems that I didn't do myself much of a favour by picking up the
XRouter. I thought it would allow me to by a plainer (cheaper) DSL
modem, but as I now understand it an XRouter plus an Ni500 still won't
allow me to run a web server, but a N1122 would.

I'm not planning to launch a commercial website from home, but if I'd
like to be able to test out ideas from home now and then.

I'm new to this list and I'm pleased to see the level of debate
resulting from my little question. Thanks to all.
