Hey :)

trying to get my alcatel speedtouch usb adsl connection (ppp over atm)
working under Mandrake 8.0.

I have followed the instructions at
http://www.linux.com/howto/DSL-HOWTO/speedtouchusb.html but after
loading and initalising the modem , replacing pppd with the pppoatm
enabled version and editing the options file when i type 'pppd' i get
'unrecognised option error in file /etc/ppp/options asyncmap 0'./..if i
remove that i get an error with name and so on..help ! it's driving me
nuts :) also in hope of it working in the future if anyone could tell me
the VCI/VPI pair to use for xtra I'd be most appreciative.
