Read the fine print of each ISP's offering.
With many ISPs you'll find that if your monthly traffic exceeds 10GB, you'll
be charged at 20c/MB for anything in excess, which can get very expensive.
Believe me, it's not hard to hit the 10GB mark.
Two JetStart ISPs I know of that *don't* have this stupid limit are WorldNet
and Xtra.
IMO, other broadband offerings like Saturn Cable (with 1GB limit) and
JetStream (with 400MB or 600MB limit, and stupidly high charges for higher
quotas) are a complete joke. It's like renting a Ferrari where driving more
than 10km in a day incurs a $100/km penalty.
Also, watch out for ISPs that forbid the use of 'servers'. Such ISPs are
within their rights to define a 'server' as *any* program which
automatically accepts incoming TCP connections. This would prove
unacceptably restrictive for many of us.

PS - C'mon Telecom, when are you going to offer an intermediate product such
as 'JetCruise' which offers 256k or 512k flat rate?

Subject: good choices for a jetstart isp?
