I find this very confusing as well. Me and a colleague are both running ST
Pros. On comparing the 2 devices we found the following:
Mine: Part No. 3EC18705CCAB04 Software version GV8BAB3.270
(1002801)
Colleague: Part No. 3EC18905CEAA03 Software version KHDSAA3.270
(1003292)
I queried this with Alcatel, who advised me that there are 2 hardware
variants (motherboards) in production, hence the software difference.
However, they are both capable of running version 3.27 of the firmware.
Apparently Alcatel New Zealand get shipped both products, even in the same
shipment. Supposedly, functionality is the same for both products.
Cheers,
Simon

That's confusing - Currently my ST Home has this:
Software Upgrade Page
Active software version : Gv8bab3.270(1002801)
Passive software version : GV8BAA3.235 (992640)
and it actually works now.
