Be warned that with the later software versions of the M1122 the DSL
side doesn't return a ping.

Cheers

Help ! (please)

I have just purchased 2 new Nokia M1122's

- on one of them I have asked for a static IP address from Paradise
(our ISP) -
have checked that the modem has picked it up (shows that yes it has)

>From the outside world you cannot ping the address (I tried both from
home, and
rang the ISP while I was onsite to were I could confirm that the VCC1
interface
showed the correct address.

Had a look at an older M1122 I look after, and "copied" all the setting
that
apeared relevent over.

I am trying to use MS Terminal Service - opening a pin hole on port
3389.

The only major difference between the new Modems & the old is under the
config
page on the new one's there is a "firewall" page - does anyone know
about this,
could this be relevent ?. When I am on site next I will do a couple of
captures
from the stats page & post here if I am still stuck.

 - tried looking at the nokia site & the user manual posted as a pdf
here for
more info but could not find anything - any other good sources of info
avail ?

Thanks in advance

Peter
